The Pre-Construction Coordinator assists Business Development, Estimating and Pre-Con efforts throughout the preconstruction process by researching market/project leads, completing pre-qualifications, developing marketing collateral, creating presentations, and producing proposals. Maintains document control and serves as the Commence (CRM) database administrator.


Roles and Responsibilities

The Pre-Construction Coordinator will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner:

  • Receives, maintains, and distributes a variety of secure records, such as contract documents, procedures, drawings, instructions, and construction documents, including revisions
  • Creates, edits and proofs prequalification statements, proposals, and presentations 
  • Maintains information in Commence including specific project transition information and distributes to appropriate parties
  • Identifies contacts and creates relationships with vendor/suppliers to solicit the right vendors/suppliers for the job in a timely fashion
  • Applies for bid bonds, preconstruction documents, and insurance certificates
  • Controls access to secured Pre-Construction electronic sites
  • Represents the Company at select local industry events




  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university in Sales and Marketing/Communications; or 5 years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office functions including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe and Internet

The following competencies are needed to successfully perform this job:

  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business documents, technical procedures, financial reports, and legal documents. The ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
  • Works with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference for practical situations and apply basic cost accounting practices  
  • Uses marketing and tracking programs effectively as well as designing compelling business development and bid products
  • Understands and apply general knowledge of contracts, specifications, drawings, and construction procedures 
  • Maintains confidentiality and possess strong organizational and time-management skills

Pay range $49,652.00-$53,000.00
