Summary
The IT Sr. Project Manager manages overall coordination of IT solution programs or projects, from planning through implementation. S/he will also be involved in process-related solutions and development projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
The IT Sr. Project Manager will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner:
- Responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire program or project through budgeting, hiring team members, sourcing suppliers, and planning the project release
- Provide feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to team members
- Sets program or project scope, priorities, deadlines, and deliverable schedules based on project requirements
- Schedules work activities and meetings
- Provides regular reports/updates on program or project activities and progress deadlines to project stakeholders
- Ensures all program or project documentation (i.e., workflows, requirements, training & “How-to” documentation is provided as part of the project
- Resolves complex program or project related issues, disputes, and disagreements
- Assists with development and implementation of the IT Strategy and roadmap
- Manages the relationship between contracted vendors or consultants and management
- Facilitates discussions and consensus among various program or project stakeholders, such as analysts, programmers, sponsors, and users.
- Works across departments to ensure their needs and wants are included
- Must be able to hold others and vendors accountable for deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor’s with emphasis in IT or a Business - Related field or equivalent combination of education and experience of 8 or more years
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with program or project management methodologies in order to work with intricate, multifaceted projects
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Outlook (e-Mail) and MS Project
- Must have experience with direct payroll transformation ownership
- Background in IT programs or project management with five or more years managing complex projects
- 1-2 years in a leadership position
- Substantial experience at a mid-sized company (or better) managing Financial and Construction applications and process improvement programs or projects
- Experience must exhibit progressively increasing project management and business acumen.
- Items Considered a PLUS:
- PMP Certification
- Experience using Viewpoint – VISTA Construction Management software
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
- Must be able to travel by automobile or airplane to implement conduct business meetings, review performance audits and attend conferences, etc.
- On-call availability and periodic afterhours work

- Ability to evaluate and advise management on all aspects associated with business improvement projects
- Ability to expertly analyze problems to determine root causes and determine best course of action for effective resolutions
- Strong mediation skills to achieve goals/objectives, compromises during project planning, development, and implementation activities
