Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for safe and timely transportation of company materials to and from the required destinations while complying with all DOT requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Truck Driver will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner:
- Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Logs working hours, vehicle service, or repair status
- Complies with state and federal regulations
- Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage
Requirements
- Must have a valid and current Class C driver’s license
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience driving trucks up-to 26,000 Lbs
- Must have a Current DOT Medical Card, or ability to obtain one soon
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Has the understanding and ability to safely operate forklifts to load and unload flatbed trucks with various construction materials.
- Clean equipment and organize construction yard during trucking downtime.
- Able to communicate with various project teams throughout the day.
- Spanish speaking bilingual is a plus, but not mandatory

- Response Orientation — The ability to choose quickly between two or more movements in response to two or more different signals (lights, sounds, pictures)
- Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
- Reaction Time — The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears
- Rate Control — The ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene
- Spatial Orientation — The ability to know your location in relation to the environment or to know where other objects are in relation to you
- Ability to transverse all types of project terrains (stone, mud, dirt, etc.)
